A series of schools workshops with local year 1 and 2 school groups based on the Interwoven Histories Exhibirtion featuring the works of African artists Romuald Hazoume, Nnenna Okore, Naomi Wanjiku Gakunga and Adejoke Tugbiyele. We explored the different materials the artists use in their sculptures, traditional African craft techniques, and the stories the artworks tell. We went on an imaginary magical interactive journey across Africa before making our own recycled characters and the landscapes they were travelling through
